In Rwanda, roads are being built (with internet lines being placed to reach the countryside), people have enough to eat, Kigali has new beautiful buildings everywhere. People seem genuinely happy. It seems to be in a unique stage where progress hasn't yet watered down the uniqueness of the lifestyle and culture (insert anti-Starbucks link here).

I don\'t know if there are many (any?) places like it left in the world.
